Kauai Vacation Home is a Working Farm

As an alternative to the traditional hotel-based vacation, our guests have the opportunity to experience a real working farm in Kauai.

We grow bananas, citrus, mangoes, papayas, coconuts, avocados and other produce to sell to the local organic food markets in town. One of our best customers and best places to get healthy, organic, local foods is the Healthy Hut. We also have a lot of fun placing the produce in the honor system "take some fruit and leave a buck" box on the street which is open to the public.

Our guests enjoy a fresh fruit basket when they arrive as well as access to anything ripe they find on the property. Unlike hotels or crowded vacation rentals in other parts of Kauai (such as Princeville or Poipu), we offer a genuine way to connect to the land and literally take in the essence of the Garden Island.

The property owner, Mike Testa, comes from a family with a long history of agriculture in Texas and Oklahoma. Also the property manager, Thomas Beebe, is a Landscape Architect with a deep understanding of horticulture and agricultural operations. In fact both Mike and Thomas are graduates of University of California at Davis which at one time was the agricultural extension of Berkeley. These long-time Aggies continue the tradition of growing healthy, organic, fresh local food on this beautiful small farm in Kauai.
