Aloha and welcome to Kauai Vacation Hideaway, a peaceful, private, and gorgeous Country Estate on the North Shore of Kauai.

Our 3 acre farm offers a genuinely unique Hawaiian experience. We are located on the bluffs overlooking the ocean with a private path that leads to an idyllic and peaceful white-sands beach. The property is within the Kilauea Farms Agricultural Zone and surrounded by large 20+ acre farms. Once inside the property, our guests will find a beautifully appointed, comfortable and spacious 2 bedroom 2 1/2 bath home called Hideaway Bay and an extremely private and cozy bungalow called Plumeria Moon. Each has their own private hot tubs and are surrounded by complete and absolute privacy.

Our guests enjoy magnificent ocean views over conservation land between the bluffs and the ocean. A private path leads to a beautiful and secluded white sand beach below the property. There are no roads or buildings within sight or sound of these homes so you can experience a quality of tranquility and peace unlike anything available at hotels, condos, or most vacation rentals.

At Kauai Vacation Hideaway, we only care about one thing... HAPPY VACATION!

Everything we do centers around creating an unforgettable experience for our guests. Since acquiring the property in late 2000, we have endeavored to provide travelers with privacy, seclusion, comfort, relaxation, conveniences, and a way to easily connect with the Garden Island of Kauai.

We take care to bring lots of love and good mojo to the grounds. We try to bring our guests closer to the essence of Kauai by providing a working farm which produces mangos, lemons, oranges, tangerines, coconuts, star fruit, lychee, bananas, and several other edible fruits. We understand that this land is magical and we are only temporary stewards of paradise.

Another aspect of our operation in which we take great pride is our housekeeping. We've had the same crew working on the property for several years. They not only work extremely hard to make sure the place is perfect when you arrive, they also take the time between bookings, when the houses are empty and there are no guests on the property, to perform extra deep-clean services such as cleaning rarely used areas like inside cupboards, behind furniture, etc. They are also meticulous about the cleanliness and quality of the linens. We recognize that these are the little touches that make the difference between a clean, fresh vacation rental in Kauai, and a place in which you simply store your belongings and don't necessarily want to LIVE in.

Finally, through our own experience and from the team of people working with us, we have created a network of activities and recommendations in Kauai. From restaurants to message therapists, golf, to kayaking, we know the people on the island doing the coolest things and offering the best services.

Our humble approach and attention to detail provide our guests everything they need to have fun and be comfortable. However, we will not be constantly bothering you or trying to get you to purchase additional services. We leave that kind of harassment for the hotels. Our approach is to let the location, home and all the amenities speak for themselves. However, if you need us, we are only a quick phone call away 24 hours/day, 7 days/week at 888-858-6562.

Thank you for your interest in Kauai Vacation Hideaway. We look forward to hearing from you.

"The world needs more vacation"

JC & MF, Cambridge, Ma
"The spirit of this magical place pervades everything that happens here, all we do and say. Thank you for thinking of absolutely everything so that we need think of nothing but relaxation & each other.

We grilled & took picnics to Tunnels Beach, sat in bed with pineapple/passion fruit smoothies & looked at the ocean, hiked down to the beach, jogged around the neighborhood & then, exhausted & blissful, took in the very best view of all, from the Jacuzzi tub. Thank you!"

Matt & Karen Hill, Pacifica, Ca
"Thank you for making us feel so very comfortable on our honeymoon. There is no other place on earth like this! Thank you also for giving us the opportunity to extend our stay a few extra days- just what we needed. You only live once and therefore we should enjoy it!! I wish we could wake up to this beautiful home and island everyday!"

Ron & Kay, Marietta, Ga
"Hideaway Bay and its most worthy steward represent all that is good in Hawaii. The views, the sunsets, the sunrises, the waves crashing, the peace & the solitude, the hospitality & so much more. They are all here to enjoy. We are grateful for the chance to take it all in. Mahalo & until we meet again. Aloha!"

Bart & Heather, Santa Barbara, Ca
"We had a great stay, we even got a Hawaiian x-mas tree. The weather & surf was great for the entire time. This is a great place to stay if you like surfing. There are many great surf spots and beaches within 15 min. drive. Wish we could wake up to this view every morning we like it so much, we are looking at real estate for our own place. Mele Kaliki Maka!"

Jack & Lindsay, San Rafael, Ca
"Kauai is our favorite place in the world, so finding and staying in Hideaway Bay made it even more special. Thomas, you're a thoughtful & kind host & we really appreciated that. -we had a fabulous time! How could you not love this place?"

Jack, Dom & Andre, San Diego, Ca
"Incredible stay at an incredible home hosted by an incredible caretaker who set the stage for us from the moment we drove through the gates. With fresh flowers we picked daily and the unbelievable vistas from the rooms. We loved the special touches, the torch lights, the Jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom. Finding the beach was well worth the 10 min effort. It's a beach to fulfill anyone's fantasy of a true tropical getaway. We will return!"

John & Brandy, Sonora, Ca
"We feel so blessed to have been able to stay in this beautiful home. This is our first visit to Kauai & it was everything we had hoped for. I loved waking up to a cool breeze through the screen door, walking down to a virtually private beach & watching the sunrise over the ocean, pure heaven. Thank you so much!"

Jayanti & Tom, Fort Collins, Co
"Thank You! Thank You! What a magical experience you have provided here! The house is a jewel. I didn't want to leave for days, and was so happy to return home after days of incredible excursions on this beautiful island. The kitchen is a masterpiece; producing one amazing cooking experience after another-and many whale sightings from the kitchen sink! The highlight of each day of my stay was the Jacuzzi tub. Jets off, glass of wine watching the sunset was the ultimate experience- complete with songbirds, breeching whales & colorful clouds above the mountains. Magical!! Thank you! Thank you!"

Milton & Amy, Tuscaloosa, Al
"We have had a great time. Great view & lots of birds! I really enjoyed leaving the house open all day to the breeze. Early morning was the best time of the day. Thanks!"

Mahalo, Andrea
"Dear Thomas- You might have to buy another guest book by the time we are finished!!

This place is magical to us. It's a place where you wake up to magnificent beauty, to the sound of the ocean crashing against the rocks, subsiding and resuming in rythematic form; it is also the place we learned we would spend the rest of our lives together. Love wanders about the house, about the land, the sky, and the ocean. Thank you for being a gracious host. It was great having you nearby - you were accommodating, kind, and yet almost invisible. We will meet again."

Paula
"I am the surprise (future mother-in-law). I've been here 6 days and have greeted the North Pacific each day in such wonderment I will never ever, ever forget. Mark Twain in 1860 describes my sentiment so preciously I will share it: ' No alien land in all the world has any deep strong charm for me but this one, no other land could so longingly and so beseechingly haunt me, sleeping and waking, through half a lifetime, as this one has done. Other things leave me, but it abides; other things change, but it remains the same.' It has been truly comfortable and amazing. Thank you to Greg, my daughter's future husband. May God bless them- they both deserve it."

Greg, Sunny San Diego, Ca.
"Tough to follow! I have never taken more showers in my life. Do yourself a favor and take one outside first thing every morning! (Happy Hour isn't a bad time either) Thomas Thank You! I'm so glad we added a week to our trip. I can only say this has been magical! Paint some, sing some, dance some, take pictures even if it doesn't seem important to someone else! Take it all in! If you are a guest here, you are blessed; it doesn't get better! Mahalo!" - Greg and Andrea got engaged during their stay; Greg surprised Andrea by flying her mother, Paula, out for part of the stay.

-Mike & Linda, Bethesda, Md

    1. Your website says the cottage is "private." We wondered how "private" and specifically can we work on all over tans?

This is a big reason why Plumeria Moon is so special. On Mondays our gardener checks to see if your car is there, if it is she works somewhere else on the property. Every other Monday machine mowing and trimming happens for a few hours. Other than that, you can expect not to see or hear another human. The property is also defended from wandering tourists by a private gate. Our priority is your privacy...this is a core value for us.

    2. How secluded would you say the beach is?

Very. The public access to this beach is difficult and so usually only expert surfers or ambitious fisherman visit the beach.

    3. How long is the path and is it easy to travel?

Your private path takes about 12 minutes from cottage to sand and it drops around 350 feet in elevation so the walk there is easy. The walk back includes about 200 stairs. Most of our guests find it invigorating. There are many beautiful things along the way, such as nesting albatross, so slow down and make the trip fun and interesting.

    4. Are the waters off the beach good for snorkeling?

There is a large and shallow reef that protects the beach year round, but it makes it difficult to swim. The water comes in over it and finds channels to get back out to sea. Unless it is very calm, these are not good conditions for swimming particularly in the deeper areas. On the edge of the sand there are several places where there are natural sandy bottomed pools to cool off and play in. There are many wonderful snorkeling spots a short drive from Plumeria Moon.

    6. What sort of things like beach chairs and such are available (if any) at the cottage?

We have just about everything for comfort on the beach: umbrellas, beach chairs, sand mats, coolers, towels, and a bottle of aloe vera gel in your bathroom in case you soak up too much sun!

    7. Is the beach below good for swimming?

Conditions can vary dramatically depending on the ocean tide and the time of year. During the winter, the surf is big and the rip-tides can be very strong. For this reason we do not recommend open water swimming during the winter. In the summer, the tides mellow and so does the surf. However, the ocean must always be respected and swimming, surfing, snorkeling, or any other ocean activity is always inherently dangerous. That said, this beach is phenomenal and the privacy you will enjoy makes it an extremely attractive amenity for someone looking for a vacation rental in Kauai. Wave-watching, spying whales, monk seals and other wildlife make it a unique experience, but it is not the best swimming beach around. To get a long open-water swim, we recommend any of these nearby beaches:

    1. Anini Beach
    2. Kalihiwai Beach
    3. Secrets Beach
    4. Rock Quarry Beach
    5. Pila'a Beach
    6. Larson's Beach

The beach is accessible from within the property by walking along a road shared by two other 3-4 acre home sites within the Homeowners Association. We share a dirt path that leads from a trailhead atop the bluffs, along a nature trail down to the beach. For a better feel, please see the video.

    8. Should I stay on the NORTH SHORE or SOUTH SHORE OF KAUAI?

While it is true there can be more rainfall on the north side of the island, this is the very reason why the North Shore is distinctly more green, lush, and rich with tropical plants and wildlife than the South Shore. Kauai is called the "Garden Island" because of the natural beauty that exists throughout the island. However, the idyllic little towns, expansive farms and agriculture, and an obvious lack of large buildings on the North Shore make it clear this name comes from the North Shore.

The large hotels, full service resorts, big box stores, international airport, biggest city on the island, cruise ship port, and 90% of the time-shares and condominiums are all on the South Shore. Meanwhile, exclusive homes, high-end real estate, must-see beach towns, private beaches, and peace and quiet are all on the North Shore.

Of course we are biased because the property is on the North Shore. However, prior to purchasing this property, we looked at homes in Maui, Oahu, and the Big Island of Hawaii. But nothing compared to the lush and tropical area on the North Shore of Kauai. This area truly delivers on the promise of a lush, tropical Hawaiian hideaway.

Finally, even though our property is on the North Shore, we do not get nearly the rainfall as some of the other areas nearby. Clearly, if there is a large storm coming off the ocean, everyone will get wet. However, our place is on the top of a bluff where many of the clouds simply pass right overhead. Unlike the towns such as Hanalei and Haena, we are not tucked right under a large mountain. In those towns, the mountains pull all the water from the ocean and drop it onto the towns. For us, those same clouds pass right by and do not become rain until they hit the mountains further inland.

If you would like to discuss this property further, or if you have any other questions about the island or the surrounding areas, please feel free to contact us any time.

This is a legal vacation rental. The county of Kauai requires that all advertisements include the following information:

FOR THE SAFETY AND COMFORT OF YOU AND YOUR NEIGHBORS

Aloha and Welcome to HIDEAWAY BAY and the Beautiful Garden Island of KAUA'I

    TVR#4284/SP-2001-15 – 4180 N. Waiakalua St. / Kilauea, HI 96754

    1. Please Be Good Neighbors

Keep noise to a minimum, especially before 8:00 am and after 9:00 pm. Your neighbors (although, in our case, distant) probably have to go to work the next day, so please be considerate. Turn off outdoor lights at night whenever possible. We enjoy our dark nights when the stars are bright and beautiful. Of equal importance, our wildlife can become disoriented at night if lights are too bright. Please be sure you park only on property; we have plenty of space- parking and driving on the lawn is ok. If you have any questions about our neighbors or how to best be considerate of them, please call Thomas at 808-635-6262.

    2. Beach Safety

Be mindful of the surf. Our shorelines face thousands of miles of open ocean. Northern winter storms and southern summer storms can bring us extremely dangerous surf conditions. NEVER turn your back on the ocean – summer or winter. Rogue waves can appear even in calm surf conditions. You can check ocean conditions at www.KauaiExplorer.com/oceanreport. There are lifeguards at Haena Beach Park, Hanalei Pavilion, Lydgate, Poipu Beach Park, Salt Pond and Kekaha. For your family’s safety, we advise that you check with lifeguards before going into the ocean. For non-guarded beaches, you should at least check with local residents who are there regarding unseen currents or other dangers.

    3. 911

In case of fire or medical emergency, call 9-1-1. The address and phone number of your accommodation is posted on the inside of both bedroom doors. For non-emergency assistance, please call Police Dispatch at 241-1711. The phone number for Wilcox Hospital in Lihue is 808-245-1100. The closest emergency treatment center is Mahelona Hospital 808-822-4961 up the hill on your right as you enter Kapa’a.

    4. Weather

The island does experience flash flooding during periods of heavy rain. If you must drive in this kind of weather, drive with extreme caution. Severe weather could result in the temporary closing of the main road out of Hanalei. For the most up to the minute Traffic and Weather information, please call 808-241-1725. You can also visit www.NOAA.com While at the house, you are safely on high ground.

    5. Disaster Emergencies

On the first business day of each month at 11:45 am, our Civil Defense sirens are tested. However, if you hear these sirens at any other time, please tune to AM radio station KQNG (“KONG”) at AM 570 for real-time reports and instructions. Also, the front of the Kaua’i phone book has emergency, disaster, evacuation and shelter information. Hurricane emergency supplies have been provided and are located over the bathroom in the back bedroom.

    6. Emergency Escape Route

From each bedroom the safest escape route in case of fire is through the sliding glass door which leads directly outside. As soon as safely possible, please call 911.

    7. Security

Although theft in our neighborhood is uncommon, please be cautious with your personal belongings. It is always best to lock up your valuables. Lock the doors and windows when you leave the property.

    8. Farming Activity

Please be aware that you are staying on a small working farm which is among many other working farms. With this farm activity comes potential noise, fugitive dust, farm equipment on roads and other environmental impacts.

    9. Island Driving Etiquette

Please honor the posted speed limits. Frequently check your rear view mirror. If more than 4 or 5 cars are stacking up behind you, pull completely off to the side of the road and let them pass. This can also help you when driving at night as our dark roads can be confusing. The cars following you likely know where they are going and can help light the way for you. If you are lost, remember that this is a small island and you will find your way soon. Keep driving until you find a safe place to pull over and turn around. If you can head downhill, you will get to the ocean within a few miles. Never make a U-turn on the highway.

When navigating the one-lane bridges, cross the bridges caravan style. It is usually appropriate for 5 or 6 cars to cross at a time. A simple rule of thumb: Drain the lane; if you arrive late – wait. When parking at the beaches, park, or sight-seeing locations be sure to park fully off the street, in assigned or clearly marked parking spaces. If you want to stop to enjoy the scenery, please pull completely off to the side of the road.

    Jack Harter Helicopter Tours - (888) 245-2001
Jack brought his first helicopter to Kauai in 1962. He had visited the island and knew from his initial experience that the best way to view the spectacular and rugged beauty of Na Pali, the Waimea Canyon, and Wai’ale’ale would be from the safety and comfort of a helicopter.

Each tour is unique. Weather and lighting conditions vary throughout the day, making the above list of scenic areas a guideline of possibilities, not a guarantee. We will often go into side canyons and valleys if the pilot feels there is something interesting to see and weather conditions permit. The only area you will see twice on most tours is the heliport.

Details of what you will see on this tour:

Tour Waimea Canyon, dubbed by Mark Twain as the " Grand Canyon of the South Pacific." Although Mark Twain never visited the island, he must have seen enough of it to judge the unparalleled grandeur of this famous Kauai landmark. It is truly a spectacular sight.

Mount Waialeale is known as the wettest spot on earth with an average annual rainfall of about forty feet. Most of the mountain rain drains into the nearby Alakai Swamp, home to several rare species of plants and birds.

Wailua Falls is also known as Fantasy Island Waterfalls for their cameo appearance weekly in the TV series of the same name.

The legendary Na Pali Coast, with its dramatic cliffs chisled by time to a razor sharp beckoning, is spellbinding no matter how many times you see it. This is the home of the legendary Bali Hai as seen in the 20th Century Fox movie, South Pacific and yes, it is calling you. Will Squyres Helicopter Tours lets you respond.

"A perfect blending of flavors and textures, beautifully presented."

"This was the best seafood we've had in the islands."

    Mermaid's Cafe - (808) 821-2026
We love stopping at Mermaids as soon as we get off the plane.  Half way between the airport and Kauai Vacation Hideaway, in the Old Town of Kapaa, there is a small local taco stand called Mermaids.  It's a great local, healthy and affordable snack.

Mermaids offers unique healthy fresh foood, Pan-Asian flavors, the traditional #1 bite - the Ahi Nori Wrap - and yummy home-made sauces, salads, and satays.  The local water provides reshi ingredients seasonally - Ahi, Mahi, Ono.  Don't forget the fresh squeezed lemonade!

    Kalypso Bar & Grille - (808) 826-9700
HVH appreciates the outdoor atmosphere and people-watching while still keeping an eye on the game.  :)

This restaurant offers excellent food as well as a relaxed place to have a boat drink and watch sports on the big screen TV's.

Views of waterfalls in the mountains overlooking Hanalei can be seen throughout the restaurant both inside and out.  Daily local fresh fish specials include their popular fish tacos, homemade seafood chowder, Big Burgers, sandwiches and much more.  The full bar serving tropical drinks makes the Sunday NFL Ticket or world class surfing on the big TV's that much more fun!

Live Hawaiian Contemporary & Reggae Music every Friday night.

Bar Acuda is the North Shore's coolest place to relax with friends, share tapas, and sip great wines in a chic, lively atmosphere.

    Cafe Coco
Across from Kinaros in Wailua, this restaurant is owned by a friend of ours! She uses local organic products so you are not only supporting her small business but all the local farmers and food producers as well.

Just a coconut roll mauka off Kuhio Hwy in Wailua, behind the lime green store front, Caffe Coco sits hidden among the vines in an artfully restored plantation era cottage. Caffe Coco's well-seasoned chefs dance the globe of tastes, transforming Kauai's abundance into delicious dishes.

Specializing in fresh island fish, organic salads, sumptuous desserts, exceptional coffees and featuring a full espresso bar, served in informal vine-covered gardens.

Magical!! Thank you! Thank you!"

  • Luxury, comfort, style and character make this 2 bedroom vacation home a wonderful place to experience Kauai. There are breathtaking ocean views from every room in the house. Described as "a gorgeous home with great character and an essence of joy," this fully equipped vacation home is surrounded by lush tropical plants, a large open grass yard, and an organic citrus orchard. Inspiring ocean views expand from every room out onto conservation land bluffs protected for nesting albatross.

Hideaway Bay is an immaculate home with warm style. Decorated in Hawaiian, Asian-Pacific, and Jungle motifs, the great room was designed for comfort yet feels elegant and exotic. The combination of design and architecture invite in beauty and peace from the outdoors into every room.

Relax on the two earth toned sleeper sofas and search for whales out in the ocean, or watch satellite programming on the large flat-screen TV. Stay in the jungle master with king size sleigh bed, two person lavender Jacuzzi whirlpool bathtub, extra large glass shower, and large walk-in closet. Or choose the Hawaiian master bedroom and full bath and enjoy an outdoor patio, large yard, and three walls of windows with beautiful sunrise views.

Hideaway Bay is surrounded by mountain and ocean views with a big open yard yet is still secluded from the outside world. Large windows throughout the house bring in warm natural light and reveal the beauty of the landscape in every direction. On clear days (usually the case) there is also a humbling view of Mount Na-molo-kama from the fully equipped gourmet kitchen. At the end of your day's adventures, settle into your luxurious hot tub with stunning ocean view. Hideaway Bay will enchant, relax, and delight you.

Plumeria Moon is the essence of Kauai's namesake, The Garden Island. This cozy and private cottage on the edge of the bluff has wonderful views of the ocean, a private hot tub and a floral outdoor shower. From the inside and the large Sun deck in front, guests look down on majestic albatross nesting on the cliffs of protected conservation land. This very private vacation cottage is fully equipped for living in total comfort and absolute relaxation.

Plumeria Moon's comfort and amenities continue on the inside with a queen size bed, Satellite TV, dishwasher, full size refrigerator, microwave, washer dryer, coffee maker, etc.

In addition to the large lanai, ocean views, a sun deck, and a private path to a secluded beach, Plumeria Moon also offers a quiet lava rock garden for peaceful meditations, a lawn covered hillside for a picnic and of course the hot tub for soaking in the beautiful view. These are all very private outdoor spaces around the cottage accented with fragrant flowers and mature fruit trees. Privacy, natural beauty and everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing vacation are right here.

Recently, Plumeria Moon was updated with new hardwood floors, paint, ceiling fans, sofa-sleeper, Flat-Screen Televisions, new linens, and several other small but important touches of comfort and convenience.

"Ku'o'koa" is the Hawaiian word for Freedom which perfectly expresses the feeling of Plumeria Moon. The bungalow exists effortlessly within the lush landscaping making guests' experience truly peaceful and harmonious. The subtle angles of the architecture and the various outdoor spaces for basking in Kauai's sunshine make it very comfortable, pleasant, and rejuvenating. This is a very special cottage in an incredibly beautiful area. Most guests find it hard to leave.

Guests staying in Kauai Vacation Hideaway (Hideaway Bay and/or Plumeria Moon) enjoy a short walk to the secluded Pila'a Beach just below the bluffs. A private trail leads to secluded and beautiful Pila'a Beach which is for many a dream come true. Generally the only people around are 'tow-in' surfers looking to ride the big waves created by the reef just offshore, but that is usually only in the winter. Otherwise the beach is generally uninhabited. Sunsets at Pila'a are exquisite, and the waves crashing against the reef offer guests a rhythmic sense of Zen.

Facing almost directly north, Pila'a offers excellent shell hunting, walking, wading and splashing around in some of the small swimming holes, yet swimming and snorkeling conditions vary depending on the ocean tide. Therefore, swimming long distances and deeper-water snorkeling is not recommended here. For that we recommend trying one of the other incredible Kauai North Shore beaches which are just minutes away:

    1. Anini Beach
    2. Kalihiwai Beach
    3. Rock Quarry Beach

The abundance and depth of the picturesque white sand, the views of the bird life around the Kilauea Point conservation area, and the extremely private nature of the location make this one of the best beaches on the North Shore of Kauai. Only a 10 minute walk or 15 minute hike, depending on your level of physical activity, our Kauai vacation rental offers an extremely unique beach experience.

As an alternative to the traditional hotel-based vacation, our guests have the opportunity to experience a real working farm in Kauai.

We grow bananas, citrus, mangoes, papayas, coconuts, avocados and other produce to sell to the local organic food markets in town. One of our best customers and best places to get healthy, organic, local foods is the Healthy Hut. We also have a lot of fun placing the produce in the honor system "take some fruit and leave a buck" box on the street which is open to the public.

Our guests enjoy a fresh fruit basket when they arrive as well as access to anything ripe they find on the property. Unlike hotels or crowded vacation rentals in other parts of Kauai (such as Princeville or Poipu), we offer a genuine way to connect to the land and literally take in the essence of the Garden Island.

The property owner, Mike Testa, comes from a family with a long history of agriculture in Texas and Oklahoma. Also the property manager, Thomas Beebe, is a Landscape Architect with a deep understanding of horticulture and agricultural operations. In fact both Mike and Thomas are graduates of University of California at Davis which at one time was the agricultural extension of Berkeley. These long-time Aggies continue the tradition of growing healthy, organic, fresh local food on this beautiful small farm in Kauai.

Kauai Vacation Hideaway is directly in the middle of the popular destinations of Kauai's North Shore. Located just a few miles from the town of Kilauea, the property is within the Kilauea Farms Agricultural District. Set among several 20+ acre farms making the setting completely private and secluded, Kauai Vacation Hideaway feels much bigger than only 3 acres. Kauai Vacation Hideaway offers both the seclusion of the farmlands and the convenience of the nearby towns. Only a few minutes away, guests can enjoy all the other Kauai North Shore destinations such as Princeville, Hanalei, and the Napali Coast.

The 3 acre estate contains the main house and the cottage. Both offer privacy from each other as well as the surrounding homes and/or lots. For this reason, many of our guests rarely leave the property. However, there are some spectacular sights to see very close by, so we do suggest people explore some of our favorite Activities & Recommendations.

Also, if guests need any modern conveniences, the towns of Princeville and Hanalei can provide almost anything someone might need. There are hardware stores, fine dining, cafes, grocery stores, and other conveniences within minutes of the house.

Just five miles from the property there are eight different uniquely beautiful beaches to enjoy. The further you drive in either direction the more beaches there are. Forty Four percent of Kauai's coastline is beach.

There are over fifty miles of beach on this incredible island.

In addition to exploring the beaches there are many other activities in the immediate area. Some of them are hiking, golf, horseback riding, tennis, kayaking, surfing, fishing, snorkeling, bird watching, bike rentals, shopping, fine dining, and visiting the nearby health club, botanical gardens, or historic lighthouse.

Excellent for watching whales and viewing other wildlife such as monk seals, albatross, and starfish, Kauai Vacation Hideaway offers a truly peaceful Hawaiian vacation experience right in the heart of Kauai's spectacular North Shore.

Kauai Vacation Hideaway is very competitivly priced given the premium nature of the property. In addition to the pricing below take advantage of other promotions by booking online.
